I am broadly interested in understanding how anthropogenic factors affect populations and ecosystems. More specifically, I’m intrigued with trophic interactions and how this plays a role with sensitive species. I hope to gain a better understanding of species roles in ecosystems and ultimately assist in ecosystem restoration and species conservation.

For my master’s research with Dr. Peery I will be focusing on foraging habitat and prey availability for the California spotted owl. I intend to identify precise foraging locations and characterize these habitat conditions by integrating high-resolution GPS tagging data and nest video monitoring. With this project I hope to inform future land management decisions and further the conservation of the spotted owl.
