Research focuses on understanding the interactions among species in the cranberry system, with an emphasis on the refinement of management approaches to sustain the productivity of Wisconsin’s cranberry marshes. Highly motivated, bright students are welcome to pursue both basic and applied questions in field, lab, and/or greenhouse settings. Graduate positions are filled on a competitive basis. Prospective students should email Dr. Steffan for information (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Students interested in contributing to ongoing work in the lab, or in pursuing an independent research project, are encouraged to contact Dr. Steffan about available opportunities (email@example.com). UW scholarship/fellowship programs, such as Hilldale Fellowships, are great ways to facilitate undergraduate experience in entomological/ecological research.
