Mission

Working together to enrich our education in wildlife ecology while fostering stewardship of land and resources.

The mission of the Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is to help students interested in wildlife ecology to learn field techniques, develop leadership skills, make contacts with wildlife ecology professionals, and keep up to date with environmental legislation, while working with fellow students and professors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Our Goals are:

To encourage interactions among faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students interested in wildlife sciences and conservation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

To supplement the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with practical, hands-on field experience

To inform members of current issues in the field of wildlife ecology

To educate and notify members of career opportunities

To nurture and recognize leadership

To foster stewardship of the land and its wildlife resources
